McCammon
Esquire
John McCammon is a mediator, facilitator and trainer. As founder
of The McCammon Group, he has been active in alternative dispute
resolution as a neutral since 1995. He was involved with ADR as
an attorney representing parties throughout his legal career, from
1976-1993.
Mr. McCammon is a member of the Virginia State Bar/ Virginia Bar
Association Joint Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution, the
Virginia Mediation Network and the Alternative Dispute Resolution
Section of the American Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer
and author on dispute resolution processes and trends for law firms,
bar associations, law schools and business groups. He served for
several years as an Adjunct Professor of negotiation at the T.C.
Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond.
Prior to founding The McCammon Group, Mr. McCammon was principal
and one of the founders of the law firm of Wright, Robinson, McCammon,
Osthimer & Tatum. His practice included construction, product
liability, personal injury, insurance, commercial, trademark and
health care litigation. He first practiced law as an associate and
later as a partner at McGuire, Woods & Battle.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Davidson College, Mr. McCammon went
on to receive his Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon Baines
Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas and
his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
