Brooke Wichmann, Ph.D., PCC, CO-OP®, is an organizational ombuds, leadership coach, and conflict management specialist with over fifteen years of experience supporting individuals and institutions in navigating complex interpersonal and organizational challenges. She most recently served as Ombuds at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where she was selected to establish an ombuds office aligned with the International Ombuds Association’s Standards of Practice. Previously, she served as Associate University Ombudsperson at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, providing confidential coaching, mediation, and consultation to faculty, staff, administrators, and students.

Earlier in her career, Brooke held leadership roles at Colorado State University’s Student Resolution Center, where she oversaw conflict resolution services, supervised staff, and contributed to institutional policy and program development. She is a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. She currently serves as Chair of the International Ombuds Association’s Professional Development Committee and is a reviewer for the Journal of the International Ombuds Association.

Brooke holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Learning, Performance, and Change from Colorado State University. She is also the host of the Ombuddy Podcast, which brings the ombuds community to life through meaningful conversations exploring practitioners’ journeys, insights, and the often unseen work of supporting individuals and strengthening organizations.
