Areas of Experience
Elisa Enriquez is a Certified Organizational Ombuds (CO-OP®) with almost 15 years of experience as an organizational ombuds and over 25 years working with individuals and groups in government, non-profit, community, and private settings. Elisa offers ombuds services with The McCammon Group and is a contract Associate Ombuds with the National Insititutes of Health (NIH), and was previously Senior Associate Ombuds at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
As a trusted conflict coach, group facilitator, dynamic presenter, and engaged co-collaborator, Elisa offers a client-centered approach depending on the issues being raised by an individual or organization. She helps groups within organizations become empowered in order to become a catalyst for change, such as when different affinity groups from one organization she served collaborated to create a new Active Bystander Employee Resource Group, an employee-led initiative that teaches about the importance of creating psychological safety and inclusion. Elisa offers:
- Conflict and communication consultation and skills coaching
- Facilitated conversations (informal mediation) for parties in conflict
- Group-specific consultation/ Group facilitation to identify issues and develop strategies
- Presentations and workshops on early resolution and conflict relevant topics
Topical presentations offered include but are not limited to Stress and Conflict, Conflict Management Skills, Resilience During Times of Change, How to Raise Your Emotional Intelligence, Nonreactive Communication Skills, Psychological Safety and Trust, and Appreciation at Work. Past and current trainer certifications include Leader Factor Four Stages of Psychological Safety facilitator, MTI Conflict Dynamic Profile (CDP) administrator, Crucial Conversations certified trainer, and a Mental Health First Aid instructor.
Elisa supports efforts to further professionalize the organizational ombuds field as an active volunteer, presenting and mentoring for the International Ombuds Association (IOA) and the Coalition of Federal Ombuds (COFO), and writing ombuds-relevant articles for the American Bar Association (ABA) Dispute Resolution Sector’s Newsletter, Just Resolutions. In addition to being a certified organizational ombuds, Elisa has a counseling background and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has served in Employee Assistance Programs, community clinics, and in private practice settings. She has an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill and a BA in Psychology from UCF.
