Michelle Arbid
Areas of Experience
Michelle Arbid is a conflict resolution consultant, executive coach, mediator, and speaker with more than 15 years of cross-cultural experience helping leaders and teams navigate complex conflict, address workplace disputes, and strengthen communication.
Michelle has coached and consulted with leaders at more than twenty federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies including Gilead, Boeing, and Amazon. In her consulting practice, Michelle works with leaders and startup cofounders to build the skills needed to prevent conflict from undermining results through bespoke coaching, mediation, facilitation, and interactive training programs. She also serves as part of the Ombuds team at the National Institutes of Health, where she supports constituents in effectively resolving scientific and workplace disputes.
Her career began as a therapist in the Lebanese prison system, where she worked with incarcerated individuals navigating conflict both inside the prison system and beyond its walls. She later earned a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution in New York City and joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisor, where she traveled to Federally declared disaster operations before taking a leadership role in the FEMA ADR Cadre.
Michelle is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation and is currently pursuing the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential. She is also a professor of Conflict Resolution, Peace, and Justice at Pace University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Columbia University.
