Jennifer Lopez served as an Associate Ombuds for the U.S. Forest Service, where she supported employees nationwide in addressing workplace concerns and identifying systemic issues. In this role, she provided confidential consultations, conflict coaching, mediations, and facilitated discussions, while also partnering with leadership to address organizational challenges. She has led webinars and agency-wide events focused on conflict management and workplace effectiveness.
Jennifer is deeply committed to providing unbiased, neutral, and confidential services. She creates a safe, respectful space where individuals can openly discuss workplace concerns without fear of judgment, helping them explore options and move toward resolution.
With more than 20 years of mediation-focused experience, Jennifer has built a diverse career across federal, state, and local organizations. Her previous roles include County Court Judicial Clerk in Larimer County, Colorado; Child Support Modification Mediator with the 18th Judicial District in Arapahoe County, Colorado; and positions with the U.S. Department of Justice (Federal Bureau of Prisons, Forensic Psychology Unit), the U.S. Department of the Interior (U.S. Geological Survey, HR/FOIA/Mediation), and the Office of Natural Resources Revenue as a Tribal Royalties Liaison Mediator. She also served as a Conflict Management and Prevention Center Manager supporting Job Corps programs nationwide. She most recently served in the USDA Forest Service, Washington Office, Work Environment and Performance Office, Conflict Management and Prevention Center as an Associate Ombuds.

Jennifer holds multiple certifications that support her work in conflict resolution and coaching, including DISC + Values, Conflict Dynamics Profile (Individual and 360), True Colors, and Emotional Intelligence (EQ-i and EQ-360). She has also completed the International Ombuds Association (IOA) Foundations training, among other professional development programs.

Jennifer takes great pride in her role as an Associate Ombuds and remains dedicated to fostering fair, respectful, and effective workplaces.
