The fee tier is determined by the total of annual family income and gross family assets, without deduction for debt. Those disputes which are post-divorce or deal only with custody/visitation/support issues will be billed at $300/hour in VA and MD, and $400/hour in DC. If the claim is not based on monetary values, arises from a venue outside of VA, MD, or DC, or is otherwise extraordinary, the fee will be assigned at our discretion based on the available information.

The hourly fee applies to all of the Neutral’s time, for example, pre-process calls, review of submissions, the process itself, and any post-process time including follow-up activities, as well as deliberation and award preparation (arbitration). Travel time will be billed at 50% of the hourly fee. Third-party conference call charges, as well as all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, will be billed in full.

Fees and expenses are typically divided evenly between the parties unless otherwise agreed. The lawyer/law firm may be responsible for payment. If the lawyer/law firm does not wish to be the responsible payer (and in some instances, as required by TMG), it will be necessary for the party to establish a satisfactory retainer account with TMG before any professional services may be rendered.

There are no filing, continuance, cancellation, or other administrative fees.
